This project focused on the renovation and extension of a Victorian heritage house, with a sensitive approach to its historical significance. Working in collaboration with Studio Doherty, our main objective was to carefully preserve and showcase the original Victorian features of the house, such as its facade details, internal moldings, and period joinery, ensuring a harmonious blend with newly introduced modern interiors that meet the demands of contemporary living.
The design included a new extension to the rear of the property, featuring a deck that extends the indoor living space outdoors, and an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area that promotes social interaction and a seamless flow between different functions, all thoughtfully designed with efficient space planning to optimize light, views, and usability.
